Teacher Dashboard: Interventions tab – seeing who in your class needs support

The Interventions graph provides an easy way to identify individual students who may be struggling. The graph, which can be found in the Interventions tab on the Teacher Dashboard, is a relative graph, comparing the students in your class to each other. 

The graph plots the amount of time spent on the platform by the students, against their average score. Each student is represented by a dot on the graph. By hovering over a dot in the graph, you can see which student is being represented, how much time they’ve spent studying the course on CENTURY, and their average score.

The four quadrants of the graph are explained below:

Needs stretch: This quadrant shows students who aren’t spending as much time on CENTURY, but are achieving above average scores. These students might already have a good understanding of the subject at their level and require an extra challenge to stretch their abilities further. 

Praise for commitment: These students have a good balance of time spent on CENTURY while achieving above average scores, and should be praised for their work!

Needs more effort: This quadrant identifies students who are not spending much time on the platform at all. It may be that these students have forgotten their password or are having difficulty accessing a device. 

Needs support: This shows students who may need extra support as they are spending a lot of time on CENTURY, but not achieving a high average score. This could mean that the student should be placed on a lower level or assigned prerequisite nuggets to improve their understanding.
